This cartoon was in the Chicago Tribune in 1934. Look carefully at the lower left corner! This was 5 years after the stock market crash of 1929 and in the middle of the great depression. During the next 30+ years is when the government instituted all the welfare programs that have bankrupted our economy – Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare, etc.

Communists stated back then that they couldn’t defeat America head-on, so they would bring her down from the inside out – economically & educationally. Looks like the plan worked.
